Management Team & Trustees
I joined Brynawel in 2011 and as Chief Executive I am proud to lead a passionate team of staff and volunteers who are committed to making Brynawel a centre of excellence, providing high quality professional support and assistance for people experiencing alcohol and other drug dependency issues.
Brynawel offers individuals real choice in residential treatment and as the evidence shows, choice is associatedwith better outcomes. I am determined that residential rehabilitation should be recognised as a component in the range of services available to those choosing recovery, and as such be offered at any stage of an individual’s recovery journey rather than Rehab being seen as “the last chance saloon”.
Brynawel is an innovative centre and nothing demonstrates this more to me than the introduction of our new Alcohol Related Brain Damage Assessment, the Early Cognitive Rehabilitation service and our Kick-Start To Recovery Programme aimed at individuals who are still at work..

I have had the pleasure of working for Brynawel since 2000, during which time I have been part of a team responsible for the progression of our service provision from a respite home to a rehabilitation centre, with a structured therapy programme and treating clients with alcohol and drug dependencies.
I am the Registered Manager, with the relevant Registered Manager’s Award and Management qualifications. The role can be challenging as we continually seek improvements but it is always rewarding. We want the best for Service users, staff and volunteers and strive to make everyone welcome and feel valued and at home.
Our work with ARBD patients has broadened my awareness of the scale of substance misuse and the continuing challenges we face keep me determined to carry on working in this field.
