Professor Jean White CBE
Ambassador
Jean White, a distinguished nurse and educator, has lived in Mid Glamorgan for nearly 40 years. She trained in Swansea and worked as a nurse in Wales and London. She was Chief Nursing Officer for Wales from 2010 to 2021. In 2023, she was appointed High Sheriff of Mid Glamorgan.
Currently, she is a Visiting Professor at the University of South Wales, an Independent Council Member at Bangor University, and a Trustee for various organizations. Her honors include a CBE in 2017, membership in the Order of St John, and recognition as one of the 75 most influential UK nurses by Nursing Times in 2023.
